With client
permission, Advanced CAD will work with associate Engineers,
Quantity Surveyors, Land Surveyors and companies who can assist with the
design or materials.
DESIGN
Every space has a purpose. Good design will ensure that its
functionality is achieved.
Following a meeting with the client,
Advanced CAD will create a concept taking into account the various
council rules, regulations and building codes as well as the client’s
requirements and budget. This
concept is then presented and discussed with the client and following any
changes, the final plans are created ready for submission to the council.
On many occasions our clients
will have a custom design that they have created. These plans will be drawn up and any
possible improvements will be discussed with the client prior to completing
the final drawings.
Alterations can be restricted
by the previous design, but our in-depth knowledge and expertise means
that Advanced CAD will always offer practical and affordable advice to
ensure that our client’s vision is achieved.

BUILDING CONSENT
Ultimately, this is the goal - obtaining
building consent based on the NZS 3604 Timber Framed Buildings and the
New Zealand Building
codes.
In most cases obtaining building consent involves
the lot or section being surveyed and when beams or lintels no longer
fall within the NZS 3604 standards then we will need to work with an
Engineer (this may be one that the client has appointed).
Nowadays, leaky buildings are at the forefront of
most people’s minds when it comes to design. The councils now insist that any area
that has the potential to leak must be detailed on the drawings. Again this is where our knowledge and
experience comes into play. Once
the councils have approved the details for building then inspections will
take place to ensure that the building is built in accordance with the
approved plans.
The Building Act 2004 was introduced to improve
controls and building practices in the New
Zealand building industry. It is about ensuring that buildings are
designed and built right the first time.

INTERIOR DESIGN
Advanced CAD has a wealth of experience in the
interior design of shops, restaurants, boardrooms and reception
areas. Our full interior design
project includes working with various designers and manufacturers to
create exciting environments. Our
client is then presented with options for logo’s, colours, carpets,
fixtures, ceiling designs, seating options, etc.
Many of our team members have had hands on
experience in the building industry and shop fittings which only adds to
the practical and relevant advice that they are able to offer.
Offering an interior design service as well as a
drawing service means that our clients are able to present detailed
drawings to various Shop Fitting companies and obtain quotes to compare.
